Recent work examples
I’ve worked on projects spanning the UX/UI spectrum for a wide range of clients, from MVP prototypes and brand definition for seed stage startups to legacy application redesigns for mature corporate tech orgs.
My favorite projects involve cleaning up big, messy, headache-inducing problems.
No surprise, then, that I often find myself working on complex processes and data-heavy enterprise applications. They’re my sweet spot!
Financial center platform
A complex project that I am currently leading design on for Bank of America’s Financial Center technology group is evaluating legacy applications and redesigning them into an integrated platform for use by financial center and contact center associates.
The first phase of this project is to build heuristic and accessibility remediation backlogs for these associates’ workhorse applications so that we can fix known design issues while standardizing new experience patterns.
The second phase is to redesign workflows into an intuitive, lean new platform.
Nurse scheduling portal
I led a multi-year product design effort for HCA Healthcare to overhaul the company’s nurse scheduling processes.
I initially designed 36 feature enhancements that were built into HCA’s legacy nurse scheduling and staffing platform.
After the legacy platform was enhanced, I designed a new role & permission-driven scheduling portal that absorbed all self-scheduling functionality from the original platform and incorporated it into an intuitive calendar-based interface for HCA’s 90,000+ full-time and contracted nurses.
The replacement portal was so well-received that HCA incorporated its core functionality into a nurse mobile app (pictured above). The scheduler is the most used feature of that app now.
Financial services mobile app
Sky Financial Group is a private financial services company that offers a range of personal loans. A significant portion of Sky’s loan business is driven by partnerships with retail establishments.
In 2018 I created a mobile app concept and prototype for Sky Financial Group that integrated all of the bank’s consumer product offerings into sleek iOS & Android interface designs.
In addition to being able to view and interact with existing loans, the app also allows clients to shop for products with Sky’s retail partners (home furnishing companies, cruise lines, etc.) and apply for financing with real-time decisioning within the app.
